I flipped my first website about 15 years ago.

I decided I wanted to have speakers as clients for my Virtual Assistant business. I was part of a forum where one of the members posted she closed up her speaker website. I asked her if I could buy it for $500. She said sure.

I worked on that site, got it looking real good and resold it for $3000 to a speaker looking to build their business.

The site wasn't even making money but it would cost the buyer more than $3000 to hire someone to build a site like I had created and this was ready to go, established!

It was a win-won.

Over the years more opportunities came to me:

I bought a writing agency for $500, got it earning $1000/month and sold it for $3000.
I built new sites (Chocolate I Love You, Christmas on Cash, Make Your First $100 Online) and sold them for $300 each.
I bought up niche sites for cheap (Posh & Curvy, Easy Spinach Recipes, Fung Shui for Lovers, Parenting Peacefully) for cheap and sold for $500 - $3000 each.
I turned my VA site, Star VA, into a VA training site that was earning around $500/month and then sold it for $10,000.
I bought two direct sales sites for about $8000, earned over $15,000 running them and then sold them off for another $6000 in profit (after taking out my initial investment), making that a $21,000 profit in about a year.

Those are just the highlights!

I've learned a lot about site flipping over the years. I know what to look for. I know what will keep me motivated.

It's fun, too!

I am a creative. I love trying new things but I don't love having to "start over" with my income (trust me it's not as fun AT ALL).

So having side-projects that can appease my desire for new things while becoming a growing asset is just SMART business!

I get to have fun with a new project, see it grow and then place it in someone else's hands to thrive further!

If you're a creative who gets distracted easily you might as well make it pay! It's easier to work WITH those tendencies than to fight against them. This is a profitable way to manage that "shiny object syndrome" that everyone talks about.

When something is fun and makes money I tend to want to do it again and again, AND teach others how to do the same!

Do I need to know how to build websites to flip websites?
Yes. If you don't have any site building or monetizing skills then you'll need to gain those skills before you can flip a site. You can take this training but it's not a website design or monetization course, so you'll need to take initiative to learn those before you can be successful with site flipping.
How much time does this take to implement?
That depends, really. You could buy a site, fix it up in a few weeks and put it up for sale again. You could also buy a site, build it up for a year or so and then sell it for a bigger profit.
How much do you need to invest to flip sites?
I've built my own sites from scratch to flip so it only cost the price of hosting and a domain name (domain about $10, hosting about $5/mo). I've also bought sites for $500, $1000 and $7000. You can also buy sites for $10's or $100's of thousands of dollars and more. There's a range of investing for everyone.
What tech tools or skills do I need to flip sites?
You need to know WordPress or whatever software of sites you focus on. I've seen that Shopify has a whole marketplace of people selling their sites, too, but I know nothing about Shopify so I don't teach that in this course. I teach WordPress site flipping. You need to know:
- How to use WordPress
- How to put products up for sale online
- How to send emails with email software
